Dessication Row.

Everywhere I look at present, I can see how the wind has battered the trees. Between 9.30 and 10 a.m. up comes the Sunshine Coast 'Sirocco' just as the watering of needy plants is finished.

In the studio Michael's pots warp and groan in his 'bateau ivre' building.  They have taken on a life of their own and we've kissed goodbye to perfect geometry.

In Melbourne the heat and temperatures soar.  The Great Sandy National Park is experiencing fires which are now running into weeks.  Looking skywards we see no sign of rain.  It's a perfect blue sky tinged with grey smoke to the north.

But the trees and plants are blooming like crazy with all the lovely sunshine.  The Rangoon Creeper (Quisqualia, Red Jasmine) is at it's best draped all over the small-leafed Terminalia.
The two perfumes together are exotic and tropical.

Walking up through the garden at 5 a.m. is like being part of a giant atmospheric perfume haze.
