The Rain has arrived with gusto.

After rather hot and dry summer, the rain has arrived and the garden has responded with a green explosion. Everything is lapping up the moisture and in the forest occasionally I hear old growth trees crashing to earth.  Guess the white ants will have a feast and a new tree will rush to fill the light void created  We had a big project to stabilise the front of the house and it was fun working with my children to create a new entrance. The epiphytic cactus and daturas are madly flowering at night and the Ylang Ylang scents the air.  It is a time for enjoying the soft colours and planting some vege seeds.
