We have just returned from a wonderful interlude in the rice paddies of Cenggu, staying with our daughter and family. What a joy to relax and laugh together and go on little expeditions into the great cosmos of the island life. Balinese people are so graceful and generous. There are some aspects of course which always worry one, the imbalance in the poverty and animal life. Mothers begging on the street intersections with small children in their arms. I wish we could turn their luck around and get them home.
